About the event
Eating right doesn't have to be complicated. Especially for our elderly population. Start with these recommendations:
-Eat fruits and vegetables.
-Vary protein choices with fish, beans & peas.
-Eat at least three ounces of whole-grain cereals, breads, crackers, rice or pasta.
-Have three servings of low-fat or fat-free dairy
-Make the fats you eat polyunsaturated and monounsaturated.
*Add Physical Activity
Balancing physical activity and a healthful diet is the best recipe for health and fitness!
Join the Community Health & Empowerment Network, Inc next Saturday, Sept. 19th for an Aging and Health Awareness Event.
